Accessibility Statement
The Landhaus Schend strives to make its website accessible to all guests in accordance with the Accessibility Reinforcement Act (Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz, BFSG) and the Accessible Information Technology Ordinance (Barrierefreie-Informationstechnik-Verordnung, BFSGV).
This statement applies to the website at www.landhaus-schend.de.
We provide this statement voluntarily. As a family-run small business, we are, based on our assessment of the statutory thresholds (§ 3 Abs. 3 BFSG), in all likelihood exempt from the legal obligation to make our website accessible; nevertheless, it is important to us to make access easier for as many guests as possible.
1. Status of compliance with the requirements
This website is partially compliant with the BFSG and the underlying technical standard EN 301 549 V3.2.1 (conformance level WCAG 2.1 Level AA). The content listed below is not, or not yet fully, accessible for the reasons stated.
2. Non-accessible content
The following content is not accessible for the reasons given below:
- Embedded maps: Map displays are difficult to grasp for blind users without screen-reader narration. Alternative: the full address is provided as plain text next to the map.
- PDF documents: Older PDF documents (e.g. archived menus or house brochures from before 28.06.2025) are not fully accessible (PDF/UA). On request, we will provide current content in an accessible form where needed.
- Gallery images: Where images are purely decorative, they have no alternative text. Meaningful images (rooms, restaurant, wellness) carry a descriptive alternative text.
We work continuously to remedy identified barriers.
3. Preparation of this statement
This statement was prepared on 01 June 2026.
The assessment is based on a self-evaluation using automated tools (Lighthouse, axe-core) as well as a manual review of key page areas by our web service provider Conexa Digital.
A re-evaluation is carried out at least annually, most recently on 01 June 2026.
4. Feedback and contact
